Today's Patch
Posted June 30, 2003 - 11:04 AM PDT by Jade

Umm, really not anything very interesting in there.
Sounds like a lot of blah blah blah boring stuff to me :P

Except this kind of caught my attention, although that's mainly because I don't really know what it means: "Client hardware and software data will again be collected and transmitted properly to OSI"

Would any of you techies out there care to explain it to me?

Spike Lee needs an ego check
Posted June 27, 2003 - 6:32 PM PDT by Jade

Not UO related at all, but I thought it was funny..

Spike Lee seems to think that since he changed his name from Shelton to Spike and made a few movies, that he owns all rights to the word spike and that a tv network can't use it without his permission. Okay I could understand if he had an unusual name like Stripperella, but come on!

What do you think?

Wartex vs Uncas
Posted June 13, 2003 - 6:19 PM PDT by Jade

After witnessing countless debates about who is the better pvper between Wartex and Uncas, I got tired of moderating and editing posts constantly and offered a challenge to them both.

Wartex and Uncas would duel at the GUL tower.
The winner would get a check for one million gold.
The loser would be banned from these forums.

Find out what happened!

Publish 19!
Posted June 11, 2003 - 2:59 PM PDT by Jade

Looks like OSI has been listening to some of the complaints about the state of pvp.

Evocare listed some upcoming changes scheduled for Publish 19 today on Stratics, and I have to say I think it's a pretty good start.

Read the changes here and tell us what you think!

BOD Books are coming!!
Posted June 6, 2003 - 6:26 PM PDT by Jade

OMG YAY!

Actually, wtf?
This is what we get as a 'fix' to the problem of people needing to collect hundreds of BODs for months just for the chance of getting a junk reward?
I say we should ask for something else..

Your thoughts?

Grandfathered Vendors to be revoked

I know this site isn't focused on vendors, but this just irks me for some reason.
