AngelIsland
(or OUO as we like to call it) is basically a Retro Ultima Online Shard
circa
Publish 15 with enhancements set in Felucca, and Felucca ONLY. More
important than the era though, is
the
philosophy behind the design. The OUO team has set out to build a solid
and
robust incarnation of UO that embodies all the things we loved about
the early
UO while still growing and expanding to create an ever-interesting
shard for
everyone to play.
Our AngelIsland
shard runs on a dedicated dual processor server with virtually
unlimited
bandwidth and a 100 mbps connection. The diesel generator backed power
system
ensures you will have 24/7 access to your UO account!

Angel
Island
has regularly scheduled events such
as
town invasions, player run events as well as a number of features that
make it unique. The quickest way to read about these is to check out
the AI playguide. .
However, some of the more
dazzling features include:
Townships! - Set boundries, and
even LAWS to control your guilds land!
Dragon
Breeding - Truely unique and in depth system to breed your
dragon (and chickens!)
to fit your own personal needs!
New Foes and Advanced AI
– tactics and skill are required to best many of the tougher
foes on
Angel Island. Gone are the days of casting Energy Vortex to destroy
everything in sight. Try battling a Golem Controller or the Lord and
Lady Guardian (based on Adam and Jade), or some of our new Champions, if you seek a challenge.
Kin System
– a factions system where players have their guilds join a
faction such
as the Undead, Pirates or Orcs and do battle against each other. Each
Kin has strongholds where kin-aligned creatures will not attack them.

The Mortal System
– For those who wish to play UO with a refreshing new
challenge. When
someone becomes mortal, once they die they are dead for eternity.
Enhanced Crafting
– high-end magic items have been replaced with scrolls that
drop, known
as sDrops. These scrolls are applied to their wares by skilled crafters
in order to create the best items in the land. Items such as jewellery,
clothing, gravestones and furniture can also be engraved or embroidered.
Fight Club! – join the
war ring for maximum targets!
Poisoned Arrows
– ever wondered why only swordsmen and fencers got all the
fun with
poison? Well now archers can poison their arrows, and they certainly
are deadly!
