The Angel Island Chronicles
Many reports came in of new crusades against disease after the posting of Episode 2. Those afflicted were no longer safe standing in a public area. In shame and defeat they made their way back within their homes where they thought they would be safe....
The skilled physicians of Looters, Inc (with a guest appearance by a Blue Thunder) will now demonstrate the lost art of making a house call.
Part 1: Necessary Tools

The first thing one needs is the proper tools as it is difficult or impossible to cure the afflicted with poison while they cower with their homes.
Meteor Swarm is an adequate solution. The scorching embers burn the disease out almost wherever it stands.
Part 2: Teamwork

The high mana cost of Meteor Swarm usually means that those of low skill in the magical arts need assistance. Also those afflicted can often be found attempting to administer healing to themselves so it is impossible to cast fast enough to cure them.
Lord Prodigy and Heron are the primary spell casters of this group while Azazel and Blue Thunder (not pictured) acted as guards.
Part 3: Finding the Disease

This portion of the process can be long and frustrating. In order to find a truly diseased person one must often travel for many miles.
In this particular situation Big Bob was found outside of Despise. He was standing atop his tower performing a combination of tasks hoping to cure himself. Interestingly he would cast flamestrike upon himself and then apply some bandages. A valient attempt which we watched for several minutes in the hope that he would find a cure. Alas, it was not to be...
Part 4: Administering the Cure

Possibly the most difficult task of all is finding the correct location to target the spell. While "safe" within their homes, the afflicted cannot be targeted directly.
Also, since Big Bob was already assisting with his own cure we waited until moments after he Flamestruck himself and then we also cast upon him. Thanks for the Assistance Bob.
Part 5: Success!!!

"Woot" indeed Blue Thunder.
Part 6: Final Investigation

To ensure that the disease is no longer present it is recommended that one performs a final investigation. In this situation the patient was behind the wall of his house so it was impossible to rescue the materials although it was possible to view them. Approximately 738 Sulfurous Ash and Spiders Silk were wasted. A sad day...
Additional Techniques
The Small House

A short distance away from Big Bob we found Max playing a sad song
of lament and loss at his horrible affliction.

With small homes one must target the patient in a slightly different manner but it is still do-able.

Be careful not to stand too close to eachother!!!

With two casters the patient can be cured quickly, especially when they are a fruity minstrel.
The Small House with Distractions

This is the situation in which the guards come in handy. Taltos of PAG was located at the Lich ruins just south of Yew. The liches do not take kindly to those who disturb their realm and care not for the problems of the living.
Even respected physicians such as ourselves were not safe from their wrath!

With only two guards and 3 liches it was difficult to occupy them all at once. Poor Prodigy caught the eye of a lich and received a number of burns before the situation could be contained.

Moments later Taltos was cured!

Again we find a substantial number of reagents upon investigation and again they were left to rot stuck within the house.
The Disease Migrates

After an arduous search of the Sosarian Mainland it was clear that we had cured 100% of the afflictions. However, Lord Prodigy brought up the possibility of the disease having migrated to one of the small islands!
Heron was replaced by Meares and a quick trip to Marble Island was made.
After a quick search it was found that the disease had caught multiple individuals unaware! So distraught they were that each was making a different attempt to cure the other. Flamestrikes, bandages, and magical healings galore within that house!

The first to fall was "Lord" Mortigan. A pity he lost his title.

The second to fall was Silas Duvry, Mortigans manservant.
He was standing closest to the front of the house so he was cured through the keyhole.

Feeling that our jobs were complete we were about to take our leave when it became clear that we had cured someone only partially afflicted!
Drat!

Quickly stealthing up to the door a single new person was found within the house.
Clearly a Villain! Every attempt must be made to rescue the belongings of our patients!

At one point Aumlain the Villain recalled out, probably to bank his loot!
Upon his return Meares was able to Stealth in while Blue Thunder took a more direct approach in order to distract from the impending orgy of Looting.

A fine pile of loot we have here!

Aumlain and Blue Thunder are having quite the battle while I loot.

Unfortunately another individual recalled in mid-loot and banned me from the house. Before any offer to return the loot could be made she attacked!
At this point the wise decision to stealth away was made.

Not bad for an evenings work.
Total Loot: Lots of reagents, most of a guarding leather suit, a silver black staff, and some clothing.
Todays Lesson: It isn't safe to be unattended anywhere. Also, if you're going to alert your physicians to your presence it's best not to leave the safety of your home.
