The Misadventures of the Lords of Loot.
Episode 15: Brennen McCoy in Deceit
Deceit was once one of the greatest places to loot. Our original teachers, the liches, are kind enough to relieve many adventurers of their packs, so we can move rather quickly from loot to loot. These days this dungeon is as cold as Prodigy's bed. No adventurers roam these halls, calling out into its cold recesses with a deathmoan or two. This episode is a tribute to the once glorious looting grounds known as Deceit.
Regulus and I (Finster, The Llama God) were taking a quick trip through Deceit, when I spotted the corpse and ghost of Brennen McCoy.
One looter working is business. Two looters working together is an art.
Regulus has as much trouble as I do understanding the language of the dead. He is, however, a regular Sherlock Holmes. Any kind of small talk is preferable, since this keeps the ghost from leaving and seeking out a resurrection.
Now we at Looters Inc. pride ourselves on truth. Had it not already been slain, Regulus would have ended its life. And we also fully intend on bringing him back to the living. We both just have to wait 7 minutes for our mana to regenerate. Muahahahah! The corpse turns to bones at that moment, and the fun begins!
Well, there is plenty of loot to say the least. Regulus and I commence relieving him of his belongings, and we both become overweight very quickly. A trip to the bank might have been in order, buddy. Oh well, we live and we learn, right?
As promised, we return him to the land of the living. With all of this consideration, though, we do not even get a thank you.
You know how those liches are nasty looters!
It looks as though there will be no "rescue fee" today. Regulus and I take our leave to split up the loot, leaving an ungrateful Brennen behind to think about his lack of manners.
Today's Lesson: When someone is kind enough to resurrect you, always say thanks.
