The Misadventures of the Lords of Loot.

Episode 19:  Intense PvP on Siege Perilous

Since starting on Siege Perilous, Looters Inc. has found a new love for the game.  Truly this is the greatest shard ever conceived!  On a regular shard I, Finster the Llama God, would normally be worrying about making the most of every moment.  Not on Siege.  The danger comes to you!  Hell, my own guildhouse isn't even a safe place for me.  Today I would like to share with you a great story about chess.

Yes, you heard me right...  chess.  If you don't know how to play, you should learn.  And if you do...  well...  then you will understand this episode.

Janos Simbacca and I decided to play a game while waiting for our RoT to end.  He is black and I am white.  I open with the traditional move, and our Player versus Player match is on!

After awhile of exchanging pieces, I begin to make my move.

Janos is no fool.  He uses the queen to block and place my queen in jeapordy.  The most powerful piece in the game is truly the knight, which I use to seal his queen's fate.  Like an idiot, I forced him into a corner.  Like a rabid mongbat, he strikes!  We exchange queens and the game continues.

Now how the hell did I get myself into this?  I really don't want to lose a knight, but I fear I will have to.  Janos continues his onslaught.

Just as I feared, I will lose a knight.  But if he wants that piece, it will cost him a rook!

I'm sure by now you are thinking "Why the hell am I still reading this garbage?  Has Finster lost it?  This isn't funny!"  Please stop thinking and continue reading, ok?  Anyway, I inch my pawn closer to the edge.  Victory will be mine with this new piece!

With my knight in trouble, there is only one available option.

Victory grows closer...

My rook moves in to help seal the deal...

In one bold move, Janos moves from defense to offense!  But it is too late my friend!  You are redlined!

I have forced his king to the corner!  Deathmoan time!

ooOo OO Ooo oOoOO Oo?

Oh shit... this doth not bode well.

Another wonderful part of Siege is the fact that I am not GM anything.  Janos quickly redlines me at the door, but I manage to live long enough to do a few quick heals.

In the end, I blame society.  Screw chess, it's a stupid game and apparently I suck at it.

Today's Lesson:  Guildmasters are bastards.
